Christa believes all people deserve the opportunity to become their greatest selves, but unfortunately, not all people have the same privileges or opportunities. This is why Christa is so grateful to be a part of The More Project. “Potential will become reality as people are treated as they should be and given what they ought to have,” Christa said. “We have the power to help people become what they are capable of being.” Her favorite thing about working for The More Project is the difference the programs make in the lives of the children and families involved, including those that support our efforts in Brazil.

Background

Christa graduated from Southern Utah University in 2003 with a degree in political science. Since graduating she has traveled the country dedicating her life to supporting political campaigns and nonprofits she believes in. She also has embraced numerous volunteer opportunities, including working for Huntsman Cancer Research, We Make a Difference Now, and The National MS Society. It was her passion for helping others that led her to The More Project, and she is thrilled now to put that passion to work full-time and not just in her community, but around the world.

With political campaigns, event planning, sales, and marketing under her belt, Christa is very organized and driven. She has a passion for details and the skills it takes to manage our large database. Her extensive work with constituents and donors has given her a unique understanding of the sacrifice it takes to support great causes like The More Project which gives her a deep sense of dedication to our donors.

Lauren has always had an interest in working for non-profit organizations, but it wasn’t until her trip to the MORE Project in Brazil that she realized her true passion for this type of service. One of her favorite quotes is: “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” She explains, “I feel so privileged to work at the MORE Project and to witness the various ways so many give to change lives in Brazil. I’m amazed at the compassionate and supportive donors we have who give money, letters, time, and other valuable resources to help improve the lives of the children we serve.”

Background

Lauren has been involved with several non-profit organizations, all with an emphasis of helping children and families. She received her bachelor’s degree in Finance from Brigham Young University, and went on to gain experience working in the corporate world while simultaneously doing non-profit work on the side. When she learned of an opportunity to work at the MORE Project, Lauren knew it was something she had to pursue and is grateful to work with the Sponsor a Child program. “I wish to thank all those who support the MORE Project so generously and inspire me to do MORE every day.”
