The MORE Project Blog

Katy's Blog Large

Hi friends.  I am excited to start our MORE Project blog.  We have been anxious to get this up and running.

I have connected with so many of you on Facebook.  I have met so many of you at MonaVie events.  I can’t even tell you what wonderful donors The MORE Project has.  There are so many kind, generous people who want to make a difference in the world.  It is a joy and an honor to get to know so many of you.  For example, one of our donors started a triathlete team to raises money for MORE.  Another is riding his bike across America raising money for MORE even as we speak.  Another group is training for the 2010 Miami marathon to raise money for MORE.  Another donor boxed donated items and helped ship them to Brazil.  Another raised money to send wheelchairs to Brazil.  Still others have held silent auctions and raised money for Brazil.  Everyone just wants to help.

Sergio calls me “one American girl with one Brazilian heart” and that is the truth.  I have been forever changed and will be forever Brazilian.  My family lives with me here in Utah but now I also have a new family living in Brazil.  I have fallen in love with the children, with the mothers, with the employees, with the people and the country.

This project is very special.  Anyone who touches it knows that.  I look forward to sharing more insight and stories about what is happening with The MORE Project on this blog.  Please subscribe to Sergio and my blogs so you can get updated information on a regular basis.  We will share stories of lives that are being changed, updates on MonaVie events, stories about our donors and how they are contributing, and hopefully other good stuff we haven’t thought of yet.  And maybe some of you will even contribute!

I hope to see many of you this weekend in Salt Lake City.  MonaVie is expecting 3,500 people at this event and thousands more through the webcast.  Salt Lake City is always a great event and our donors look forward to a special give while there.  It becomes a reverent reflection on the joy of giving and the opening of our hearts to those all over the world.  It is an opportunity to open ourselves to God and to let God flow through us.  Hope to see you there!

Hello Katy, I don’t if you will remember me I ran in to you on Saturday after the Regional and introduced myself to you. My name is Amador Rodriguez I would like to echo what I said about the great job you and Sergio are doing with the MORE project, I was a little disappointed that I didn’t get to meet Sergio. We all know you and Sergio are very passionate about the program and are truly a big blessing in those kids’ life. Although I’ve been with Mona.Vie a short time (Nov 9th)is when I was sponsored I am very moved by this project that I told my wife I will go there someday and be part of this great and noble cause, you see helping people is what I’ve done for the past twenty years, I’m a Fire Fighter here in Calif. and really enjoy making a difference in peoples lives, that’s why Mona.Vie is so right for me since I have been in the people business for quite some time.
Katy it was an honor meeting you and I know deep down in my heart I will one day get to meet Sergio and be there side by side with you both seeing the smile like we saw on Yonne’s face she was amazing and a beautiful song it was!! I listen to it over and over every chance I get :)
God Bless you both and the dedicated work you do with those children, I know God watches over all of you!
I’m honored to be part of the Mona.Vie Family!!!!

    Amador Rodriguez
