How Should I Send my Sponsorship Pledge?

Participation in the Sponsor a Child Program is available as a credit/debit card program only. In order to participate, you select the sponsorship level you desire and then authorize the MORE Project to withdraw your gifts on a monthly, quarterly or annual schedule. You may initially select to commit to one or two years. It is our hope that you will continue to participate in the program for many years to come.

Why are there Multiple Sponsors per Child?

The MORE Project wants to offer sponsorships at a reasonable price so that many of our distributors and supporters will have the opportunity to develop relationships with our wonderful children and young adults. While the entry donation to sponsor a child is $35/month, the actual average cost of supporting a child or teenager in our program is $245/month or seven (7) sponsorships. Donors have the option of participating at any level of sponsorship from 1 through the full 7 sponsorship shares per child.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Yes, gifts to the sponsorship program are fully tax-deductible for U.S. Citizens. The MORE Project is a registered charity with the IRS and has been granted 501(c)3 status. Please consult with your tax professional for details. Our Federal ID number is #203770594. For Non-U.S. citizens, we are working on making donations tax-deductible in other countries. Changes in Sponsorship if your Sponsored Friend Leaves the Program

There are times when children and families move or choose not to participate in our program. This circumstance is a difficult and trying part of sponsorship. When this situation occurs, sponsors are notified. Hopefully the project is able to provide information as to why your sponsored friend is no longer part of the program. When notified, you will be invited to sponsor another child in need of your support. There is no obligation on your part. Sometimes sponsors need an opportunity to deal with their loss before becoming a sponsor again. THE MORE PROJECT completely respects your decision.

If You Leave the Sponsorship Program

By participating in the Sponsor a Child program, you are making a financial and personal commitment to a vulnerable child or teenager. This relationship is very important. Please accept your commitment thoughtfully. In the least, we ask that you complete your initial 1-2 year commitment without interruption.

Billing Information

How do I Change my Billing Information?
Please call or email Christa Ekker at 801.208.1143 or christae@themoreproject.org to update all credit card/billing information.

When will my gift be deducted from my account?
Your gift will automatically be deducted from your credit card account on file the same day of each month, quarter, or year) that you originally submitted your application. (Depending on frequency selected on your application.)

Can I change my sponsorship level?

Several sponsors want to increase their sponsorship level as they anticipate increasing income in the future. You are welcome to change sponsorship levels at anytime pending sponsorship availability. Please email sponsorachild@themoreproject.org with your Name, Dist. ID, current level of sponsorship and desired level of sponsorship. We will contact you when your request has been processed. Please note that at the time of your request, your current child may be fully sponsored. If so, you may be asked to sponsor an additional child or our you can request to be assigned to another child who is available at your desired sponsorship level.

What if my team wants to sponsor a child?

Please follow the steps below for team sponsorships:

1. Select a team leader.
2. Go online and select a first and second preference for your child. (Record SAC# and Child Name)
3. The team leader sends an email to laurenc@themoreproject.org with:
   • The names of the two children you chose online, their SAC#'s, your team name, and the names of the members of your team.
   • The Sponsor a Child program is dynamic. The child/ren you select may not be available. Act quickly to reserve your child/ren, but please be flexible as there are many children in need.
   • Click on the link "Sponsor a Child Team Application", print, and have each member of your team fill out the application.
   • Send each completed application by fax to 801.208.1144 or email to laurenc@themoreproject.org. Once we receive all the applications, team members will receive a complete sponsorship packet in the mail.

What if I lost or never received my Child's Packet?

Please send an email to laurenc@themoreproject.org with your name, Distributor ID, your child's name and SAC#. Please note that you lost or never received your packet.
