Can I Send Gifts to my Sponsored Child

Small gifts such as ribbons, stickers, photos and bookmarks are appreciated. They become a treasured part of your sponsored friend’s life. For customs purposes, please make sure what you send fits in a flat envelope, no larger than 5x7 inches. Please send the gift to The MORE Project offices. Mailing labels can be found in your Welcome Packet. Please mark the envelope with your child’s name, project and ID number.

Please do not send packages or money (cash, check, etc.) to your sponsored friend. Packages are often lost or stolen and even if they do arrive, customs duties can be very high. Money will also likely be stolen and checks are difficult to cash in the developing world. Unexpected monetary gifts can divide closely knit communities and are not appropriate within the framework of this program.
